A Blind Witch's Tale: Part 2

Of course, after I got through with my audience with Hugo I was anxious to test out my new gifts, well the ones I could try out. After composing myself, I asked Randal if he had genuine Atlantean artifacts? Randal was ahead of me, he already had an artifact out for my examination. He put a small figurine in my hands. I ran my fingers over the figure. It was made of metal. Randal told me it was a silver colored metal that is no longer found or forged on Earth. It was a figurine of a dolphin. After I told Randal, he told me that I missed the most interesting feature of the figure. I ran my fingers over the figurine again, the dolphin had only one eye in the middle of its head. As I held the dolphin and examined it I felt a tingling coming from the ring. That was the sign it was a genuine Atlantean artifact. Anyhow, while I was examining the dolphin Jai and Neck came into the room.Their romance was progressing, (hot and heavy), but at least they were easier to be around. Jai had stopp...

A Blind Witch's Tale: Part 1

now had three of the five pieces of the Mystograph: the Cube, the Octahedron, the Tetrahedron. I listed them in the order I found them, not on how they go together. The Tetrahedron is the smallest piece, it's also different because it is not made of metal, instead it is made of Monas stone, or Seraph stone. The Tetrahedron is the power plant of the Mystograph. The Tetrahedron fits inside the Cube, which fits inside the Octahedron, and so on. The Cube and the Octahedron are made of a dark metal which is not found on Earth. or anywhere in our Solar System. Seraph stone is the rarest element in our galaxy. It was only when I found the Tetrahedron that I discovered how to open the other pieces. You have to use the vibrations of the Serah stone to open the other pieces. I had an advantage in that I had swallowed a piece of Seraph stone, a piece called the Monas Stone which had given me the ability to travel between dimensions of Reality. Although it had a drawback the vibrations of...

Beyond Light and Dark 3

Anyhow, time for a little catch up.After the necromantic operation in the cemetery; Jai and I tried to follow up on the dclue we got. "The Society for Public Beautification". The clue was not yielding any results, we had hit a dead end. Yes there had been a "Society for Public Beautification" , but seems to have had only one member and yes you guessed it: Titus Wendel-Jarlsberg. We could not find out anything on what the :"Society" did, only that it had existed. I was getting discouraged, this was proving harder than I thought. I even summoned Rak, the Hound of Tindalos, but he was no help. Although it did cheer me up; I have thing for eldritch animals. ; Anyhow, eventually the clue did bear fruit. (about a week later) Remember my date with the architect professor, Greg Phillips. He had actually heard of the "Society", but he did not know Ti...

Beyond Light and Dark 2

I was shaken from my experience with the dead mind of Wendal-Jarlsberg. I had gotten a good scare, and was still afraid, the attack had been sudden and powerful. At least I had gained some knowledge was my only consolation. By the ferocity of the attack I knew Wendal-Jarlsberg had been a powerful occultist, and must have had ties to a society opposed to the Old Ones. So I figured it was time to call in one of the favors I was owed. I called Richard Chen. I actually got him first try. this led me to believe he did not know what I was up to, or else he would have tried to avoid me. He seemed surprised that I was asking about Wendal-Jarlsberg. He did not deny knowing who he was. I told him to get rid of one of the favors he owed me, all that he had to do was give me everything he knew about Wendal-Jarlsberg, and hold nothing back. He told me that Wendal-Jarlsberg had belonged to another society that opposed the Old Ones: The Order of the White Worm. I know what a strange name. And he ...

Beyond Light and Dark: Part 1

Well it has been awhile, lots of catching up to do. Before relating the events of my last adventure, I will start with the worst, you know the most traumatic things first. Me and Jordan broke up. Neither one of us was ready for commitment. So when he got a job offer to do some paintings in eastern Europe, it brought are troubles to a crisis. I of course did not want to go to Europe. You know my career is here, I am actually making some headway on my books (Yes I started another book, get to that later). And I like California. It was sad and traumatic, but it was time either to commit or break up. We broke up. The other traumatic event was my eyes had to be removed. Hugo was right when he said that the Monas Stone would destroy them. It was a shock more than a surprise. It was also easier to recover from than the break up. You know it seems emotional pain is worse than physical pain. Well at least they are both over, and I can move on. The good feelings towards me at the University,...

Phenomenology: Part 3

Jordan has been away so much , that I have resumed babysitting for my now 12 year old neighbor Meagan. I really missed Meagan. Her mother is a single mom, so she always has errands to run. So she really appreciates my helping out, and I am glad to do it. Anyhow I feel I missed out on babysitting as a teenager. I was considered a girl genius,Although the genius did not extend to my social or romantic life, which was a disaster. I was working on my B.A degree at fourteen, and no one wanted the blind girl to babysit. I felt cheated. So I guess this is helping me to make up for what I missed. I decided to use the babysitting to try out some of my theories , well one theory. Meagan is scared of the dark, like most sighted children. So I decided to teach her to how to get around safely in the dark, to see whether it would decrease her fear of the dark. Yes, it is working; maybe more parents with children that are scared of the dark should get a blind babysitter. Anyhow no one asks my advic...

Phenomenology: Part 2

I was feeling exhilarated, instead of traumatized like my last meeting with Hugo. Don't get me wrong Hugo and his room are awful. Randal came and got me after the meeting, and walked me back upstairs, where I went to the the bathroom and quickly changed back into my sweats. I also decided to call Hugo's room, the creepy room, instead of the odd room. The more time I spend in the room the creepier it gets. Just the opposite of what you would expect, there is no getting used the room. Anyhow, the first thing I did after telling Randal about my meeting with Hugo, was call Paul Kimball. I knew now I had to have the octahedron. I told Paul that the object was called an octahedron, and was one of the five Platonic solids, but left out all the other information, I got from Hugo. After giving him the news, I lied and told him Randal wanted to buy it for the store for fifty dollars. He hesitated and made a counter-offer of one hundred dollars. I pretended to ask Randal, and told P...
